SETBACKS ORDINANCE #715 - PUBLICATION RESOLUTION #5 - RE: WATER TREAT- MENT PL~~T LOCATION ;;1.1' ~(s /l'/~/ 81 Page -6- Mr. Rupp stated it was at staff's discretion 'which were considered minor> Councilman Carnival was concerned with the number of violations on set-backs, ~1ichprompts carelessness on the part of the builder. Mr. Rupp advised that the building de- partment requires a foundation survey be provided before the next stage of construction occurs, in relation to the property line. The problem is not with the foundation but could be with the overhang of the roof that projects 6" over into the setback, or the house is cantilevered over the foundation. Another problem has been with patios that builders call accessories and not considered a principle part of the structure. He then sta.ted that if Council wished to take more firm action, his department would comply. Administrator Wurl suggested that per- haps more information should be supplied from the builders at the inception of the project i.e. if patios will be added, catilevers, etc. After discussion Council agreed with Mr. Wurl's suggestion that more in- formation be obtained when the proposed project brings in their plans. Question called for on motion. All in favor. Motion carried 4-0. Noel Hobbs of Rocky Mountain Consultants, advised Council an application was sub- mitted almost a year ago to the Boulder County Planning Commission and Boulder County Commissioners for a special use review for a site that would be located on Marshall Road and the new pipeline would by-pass Community Ditch to our filter plant. Also hopefully when the Coal Creek project is built our filter plant will be served from this source. This will be a new facility as an off- site facility for Centennial Valley Mall.
