NORTH REALIGNMENT OF MAIN STREET LAKE PARK IMPROVEl1ENTS MC KEE LETTER CITY TO PAY FOR SPECIAL ELECTION CENTENNIAL VALLEY MALL 2/17/81 Page - 10 - Councilman Carnival requested that City Engineer Blanchard devise his very best plan for the north realign- ment of Main St. He then inquired how soon the signal at South Boulder Road and Main St. could be installed. Administrator Wurl advised as soon as the funds are available. AdministratorW"url advised that the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District has agreed to fund some improvements in Lake Park, at no cost to the City, consisting of shaping & excavation, bike paths, low flow channel, and seeding and replanting. Councilman Cummings asked if Director Hioco could have a meeting with some of the people in the Lake Park area to let them know that something is being done, as they do have some good input. Councilman Meier offered to have the meeting at his home - Director Hioco to send notices, and provide maps. Director Hioco wanted Council to recogni.ze that Director Rupp started this program and without his persis- tence this could not have been ac- complished. He also complimented Engineer Blanchard for his help AdministratorWurl stated that Don McKee made a request at the last Council meeting, and supplied council with a letter requesting that Jacobs/ Kahan pay for the special election for Centennial Valley Mall. Mr. Wurl's second thought was that the City pay for the election. Councilman Domenico moved that the City of Louisville pay for the special election on Centennial Valley Mall. Seconded by Councilman Carnival. Question called for. All in favor. 110tion carried.
