<br />BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES CIRRI- <br />CULUM STUDY ANNEXATION REQUEST <br /> <br />AUDIENCE COl1MENTS <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEYS REPORT <br />ORDINANCE #702 ZURICK ANNEX- <br />ATION - 2ND READING, PUBLIC <br />HEARING. <br /> <br />SUPPORTING THE APPLICATION <br /> <br />OPPOSING THE APPLICATION <br /> <br />APPROVAL <br /> <br />12/16/80 <br /> <br />Page - 2 - <br /> <br />Councilman DelPizzo moved that the <br />B.S.C.S. annexation request be referred <br />to the Planning Commission for review and <br />recommendation. Seconded by Councilman <br />Meier. Question called for. All in favor. <br />Motion carried 5-0. <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Mayor Caranci opened the public hearing. <br />Attorney Joss stated that the ordinance <br />had been published in its entirety in the <br />Louisville Times on November 19, 1980. <br />Notices of the public hearing were pub- <br />lished on November 26, and December 3, <br />1980. He read the ordinance by title only. <br />Mayor Caranci inquired if there was any- <br />one in the audience supporting the appli- <br />cation. <br /> <br />Vernon Zurick, 4625 Talbot Drive, Boulder, <br />Colorado reported that he had received <br />a letter relative to the enclaves of the <br />land surrounded by the City requesting <br />they consider annexation, and at the <br />present time has no definite plans for <br />development of the area. His original <br />application for zoning was Coulffiercial <br />but was willing to go with the recommen- <br />dation of the Planning Commission for <br />7 acres C-O, Commercial Office and 3 <br />acres C-N, Commercial Neighborhood. <br />Councilman Meier thanked Mr. Zurick for <br />cooperating with the staff's recommenda- <br />tion. <br />Director John Rupp referred to an article <br />from the Rocky Mountain Journal regarding <br />a market for high quality office complexes <br />to support staff's recommendation for <br />this type zoning of the Zurick property. <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />Mayor Caranci asked for remarks from <br />Council, since there were none, he closed <br />the public hearing. <br />Councilman DelPizzo moved that Ordinance <br />#702, Zurick Annexation be adopted. Seconded <br />by Councilman Meier. Roll call vote: <br />
