PERMIT
SECOND READING

COMMENTS

Attorney Joss reported that Ordinance No.698
was published in full on September 3, 1980
in the Louisville Times; he then read the
Ordinance on second reading by title only.
Councilman Fauson moved that Ordinance No.
698 be adopted. Seconded by Councilman
Domenico.
Councilman Meier asked that the Storer
Cable T.V. representative answer the questions
that have come up through memo's and letters.
Mr. Jerry Proctor, representative for
Storer, stated that there are three basic
questions; finances, 52 channel equipment
and location of studio.

Under finance Mr. Proctor noted that the
figure get gave to Council was a estimate
he came up with while speaking to Council
and it was in error. He noted that the
financial projections are done by the com-
pany and could supply the estimates to
Council.

52 Channel Equipment - Mr. Proctor noted
that it is the same as the Leesburg proposal
and states that rather then risking the
uncertainty of the 52 channel technology,
Storer concentrated its design on the most
recent proven technology of 40 channels
with downstream capability; however, plans
for conversion for 52 channel technology
when it is alright to do so are available.

Studio Locati.on - Mr. Proctor stated that
the proposal stated that the studio would
be in or near Louisville, because some
Council's do not want the studio in the City.

After remarks roll call vote was taken on
the adoption of Ordinance No. 698.
AYES: Fauson, Cummings, DelPizzo, Meier,
Carnival and Domenico.
NOES: None
Motion carriE~d 6-0.
