<br />Minutes - page 9 <br />September 18, 1980 <br /> <br />LANDSCAPING CONTID <br /> <br />Mr. Rupp noted that the City is requesting <br />that the landscaping be done with evergreen <br />and deciduous trees in order to provide <br />a visual barrier from the road. <br /> <br />PARKING LOT <br /> <br />CITY ACTIVITIES <br /> <br />Councilman Cummings asked if there were <br />grass parking areas now being used. <br />Mr. Rupp reported that the same principle <br />is being used at the Broadmoor area where <br />the Pikes Peak or Bust rodeo goes on, and <br />they do a similar type cutting before the <br />major event. <br /> <br />Councilman Cummings asked how the City <br />activities would be scheduled. <br />Mr. Rioco stated that they would be scheduled <br />in conjunction with the other activities <br />planned for the facilities. <br /> <br />ATTORNEY STATEMENT <br /> <br />Attorney Joss responded on the opinions <br />given regarding to the adoption of Ordinance <br />No. 692, Zoning Changes. <br />It was recommended by Attorney Joss that <br />Ordinance No. 692 be presented again and <br />Council act on it on second reading at <br />the next meeting. <br /> <br />MOTION <br /> <br />Mayor Carand. closed the public hearing. <br /> <br />Councilman DelPizzo moved that Resolution <br />No. 29 be tabled until the October 7, 1980 <br />Council meeting, until the adoption of <br />Ordinance No. 692. Seconded by Council- <br />man Meier. The motion carried 6-0. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 692 <br />FIRST READING <br /> <br />All members of Council had before them a <br />copy of Ordinance No. 692 for their review <br />and files. j~ttorney Joss read the Ordinance <br />on first reading by title only. <br />Councilman MEder moved tha t Ordinance No. <br />692 be ordered published. Seconded by Coun- <br />cilman Domenico. <br /> <br />Councilman Meier moved that the motion be <br />amended to included a public hearing be <br />scheduled on second reading October 7, 1980. <br />Seconded by Councilman Carnival. <br />Amendment to motion carried 6-0. <br /> <br />Council adopted the publication and scheduled <br />public hearing by a vote 6-0. <br />
