<br />RESOLUTION NO. 29 CONT'D <br />FIRE DEPT. <br /> <br />OPEN SPACE <br /> <br />COUNCILMAN FAUSON <br />SPECIAL USE TIME FRAME <br /> <br />TEEN ACTIVITIES <br /> <br />NON PROFIT ORGANIZATION <br /> <br />COUNCILMAN CUMMINGS <br />LANDSCAPING <br /> <br />Minutes - page 8 <br />September 18, 1980 <br /> <br />Councilman Carnival asked if the fire dept. <br />responded to the proposed plans. <br />Mr. Rupp responded that referrals were <br />sent out to each department to comment <br />and their response must have been favorable <br />or it would have been reported on. <br /> <br />Councilman Carnival requested that Mr. Rupp <br />compile what cost the City will incur with <br />the Pow Wow request. <br /> <br />Councilman Carnival asked about what percent <br />would be left in open space. <br />Mr. Sparn stated that he did not have the <br />figures at hand, but felt it was approx- <br />imately 25% of the total site. <br /> <br />Mr. Rupp read the list of activities that <br />were to be included for the grounds. <br /> <br />Councilman Fauson asked why the agreement <br />gives the PO~1 Wow 7 years to complete the <br />indoor agreement, when the code only allows <br />for 1 year bE!fore review is made. <br /> <br />Mr. Rupp reported that the provision on <br />the indoor arena in the agreement does not <br />mean that Council could not call the site <br />plan up before the 7 year deadline. <br /> <br />Councilman Fauson asked how the City knows <br />the Pow Wow \\Till not permit rock concerts. <br /> <br />Mr. Rupp stated that he is going on the <br />Pow Wow's past record and also the stadium <br />is smaller and this would restrict the size <br />of the crowd. <br /> <br />Mr. Marcotte stated that the Pow Wow caters <br />to family ori.ented entertainment and rock <br />concerts are not that type of entertainment. <br /> <br />Councilman Fauson asked where the profits <br />went from the Pow Wow. <br /> <br />Mr. Johnson reported that all monies made <br />goes back into the grounds to maintain and <br />improve. The persons who serve on the <br />board are all volunteer and are not com- <br />pensated. <br /> <br />Councilman Cummings asked about the land- <br />scaping. <br />Mr. responded that it is within the <br />year; however, the time of year is a factor <br />to be conside:red. <br />
