Minutes Page - 6 - August 5, 1980 ORDINANCE NO. 690 COMMENTS CONT'D Director Rupp commented that there was a stipulation in the annexation agreement that drilling will take place for 18 months. Councilman Carnival inquired if drilling would cease after that time. Director Rupp replied no, but Mr. Hocheder would have to produce evidence to the Council, under the Special Review Use, that drilling need be continued. If Council feels 18 months is not feasible, they can suggest a shorter time period, i.e. 10 months or 12 months. BILL SUITTS DENSITY Mr. William Suitts wanted to correct a statement reported eariler regarding density~ stating that the annexation contained 510 acres not 410 acres and the density was approximately 2 dwelling units per acre. DENNIS DRUMM REPRESENTING HOCHEDER Assurred Council on the timing of the drilling the 18 month provision had been included in the annexation agreement and had been signed. He then made reference to the impact state- ment of Centennial Valley - by adding the number of units versus the number of acres allocated, it was his opinion the 4.4 density was correct if the open space acreage was ommited. JOHN LEARY AUDIENCE COMMENT Mr. Leary, 1116 LaFarge Ave., Louisville. It was his opinion that Mr. Rupp didn't really answer Councilman Carnival's inquiry regarding equivalents with and without this annexation. He asked what the figures are without this population equivalent and how the figures were determined. Also what the population equivalency is including STC and the rest of the City. He was also concerned that the cost side of the annexation was not given in the presentation. Director Rupp reported population projections including Centennial Valley Mall, STC and CTC the estimate would be approximately 24,000 employees, roughly 3,000 population equivalency. The projected population equivalency is estimated to be 20,000.
