<br />Minutes Page - 7 - <br />August 5, 1980 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 690 <br />COMMENTS CONT'D <br /> <br />Councilman MeiE~r asked of Director Rupp <br />what the numbers are with what has been <br />annexed in the past and with this annex- <br />ation corning, what equivalency is there <br />now? <br /> <br />Director Rupp replied the last census <br />count the population was 5,364 in 1970, <br />the employment for STC is approximately <br />3,600 people. Employment figures for <br />downtown Louisville, and Village Square <br />complex would be approximately 100 em- <br />ployees. This is the population estimate <br />presently - 9,064. <br /> <br />Councilman Meier requested figures for <br />what has been planned and platted also. <br />Excluding the Hocheder annexation, what <br />population equivalent do we have? <br /> <br />Director Rupp commented - possibly the <br />9,064 would hold firm. The Suitts <br />development contains 400 units <br />550 Hocheder annexation <br />a portion of Mesa Point to be developed <br />a portion of Continnental View to be developed <br />and a bulk of the Centenial Subdivision. <br />Population equivalent is based on the <br />census figure of 2.6 persons per house. <br /> <br />COMMENTS <br />COUNCILMAN FAUSON <br /> <br />Councilman Fauson requested a definite <br />date set on the drilling by the owner. <br />Since this property has not been sold <br />to a developer - especially if the <br />developer should request different zoning. <br /> <br />Dennis Drumm st~ated the present annexation <br />agreement prepared by the attorneys read <br />18 months from the date of the agreement. <br /> <br />Attorney Joss stated any time a Special <br />Review Use request is submitted, it must <br />corne to Council for approval before the <br />drilling permit can be issued. <br /> <br />Mayor Waschak closed the public hearing <br />and asked for a motion from Council. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF ORDINANCE <br />NO. 690 <br /> <br />Councilman <br />No. 690 be <br />man Meier. <br />Meier yes, <br /> <br />Cara.nci moved that Ordinance <br />adopted.
