Minutes - page 3 July 15, 1980 ORDINANCE NO. 687 CONTINUED Councilman Domenico moved that Ordinance No. 687 be adopted. Seconded by Council- man IVleier. Roll call vote: Ayes: Fauson Meier, Caranci, Carnival, Domenico. Motion carried 5-0. ORDINANCE NO. 688 OVERSIZED VEHICLES Attorney Joss read Ordinance No. 688 on second reading by title only, stating that it was published in full on June 18, and notice of public hearing on June 25 and July 2, 1980. Mayor Waschak opened the public hearing. K. M. After discussion Councilman Meier moved that Ordinance No. 688 be adopted. Se- conded by Councilman Caranci. Roll call. Ayes: Caranci, Domenico, Fauson, Meier, Carnival. Noes: None. Motion carried 5-0 ORDINANCE NO. 689 SPEED LIMIT DESIGNATION FIRST READING All members of Council had before them a copy of Ordinance No. 689 for their re- view and files. Mr. Wurl noted that the study on traffic showed that the recommended speed on So. Boulder Rd. was 35 M.P.H. Engineer Blanchard explained have the speed limit recommendation was derived. After discussion by Council and staff Councilman Domenico moved that Ordinance No. 689 be published as is with the 25 M.P.H. Seconded by Councilman Caranci. Ayes: Domen i co Noes: Caranci, Carnival, Meier and Fauson Motion defeated 4-1. It was then recommended by Councilman Carnival that the speed recommendation be changed from 35 to 30 M.P.H. After comments Councilman Carnival moved that Ordinance No. 689 be changed from 25 M.P.H. to 30 M.P.H. on So. Boulder Rd. published as changed and a public hearing set for August 5, 1980. Seconded by Coun- cilman Fauson.
