<br />Minutes - page 3 <br />July 15, 1980 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 687 <br />CONTINUED <br /> <br />Councilman Domenico moved that Ordinance <br />No. 687 be adopted. Seconded by Council- <br />man IVleier. Roll call vote: Ayes: Fauson <br />Meier, Caranci, Carnival, Domenico. Motion <br />carried 5-0. <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 688 <br />OVERSIZED VEHICLES <br /> <br />Attorney Joss read Ordinance No. 688 on <br />second reading by title only, stating <br />that it was published in full on June <br />18, and notice of public hearing on <br />June 25 and July 2, 1980. <br />Mayor Waschak opened the public hearing. <br /> <br />K. H a r dw i c k, 1 405 Gar fie 1 d Ct. s tat e d <br />that he was in favor of the ordinance and <br />noted that the property owners in that <br />area had signed a petition, which was pre- <br />sented to Council, in support of the ord- <br />inance. <br /> <br />After discussion Councilman Meier moved <br />that Ordinance No. 688 be adopted. Se- <br />conded by Councilman Caranci. Roll call. <br />Ayes: Caranci, Domenico, Fauson, Meier, <br />Carnival. <br />Noes: None. Motion carried 5-0 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 689 <br />SPEED LIMIT DESIGNATION <br />FIRST READING <br /> <br />All members of Council had before them a <br />copy of Ordinance No. 689 for their re- <br />view and files. <br />Mr. Wurl noted that the study on traffic <br />showed that the recommended speed on <br />So. Boulder Rd. was 35 M.P.H. <br /> <br />Engineer Blanchard explained have the <br />speed limit recommendation was derived. <br /> <br />After discussion by Council and staff <br />Councilman Domenico moved that Ordinance <br />No. 689 be published as is with the 25 <br />M.P.H. Seconded by Councilman Caranci. <br />Ayes: Domen i co <br />Noes: Caranci, Carnival, Meier and Fauson <br />Motion defeated 4-1. <br /> <br />It was then recommended by Councilman <br />Carnival that the speed recommendation be <br />changed from 35 to 30 M.P.H. <br /> <br />After comments Councilman Carnival moved <br />that Ordinance No. 689 be changed from <br />25 M.P.H. to 30 M.P.H. on So. Boulder Rd. <br />published as changed and a public hearing <br />set for August 5, 1980. Seconded by Coun- <br />cilman Fauson. <br />
