<br />Minutes - page 2 <br />June 17, 1980 <br /> <br />INTERCHANGE CONTID <br /> <br />It was noted that there has been no time <br />limit set on the letter sent to the Hwy. <br />Dept. <br />Mr. Wurl stated there have been many ob- <br />stacles and when DRCOG reviewed the City <br />request for consideration of the interchange, <br />addition to the interim highway plans, they <br />would not let the request become an issue <br />corridor. <br />A study was to be completed in a six month <br />period and that study has not been done. <br /> <br />Mr. Klarich, stated that the developers <br />have work to comply with all requests from <br />the State to local levels and this has <br />caused many delays. <br /> <br />Councilman DelPizzo stated that the City <br />should continue on with the mall project <br />without waiting for the results from the <br />outside agencies. <br /> <br />Councilman Domenico also stated that he <br />wanted to see the developer continue on <br />with the plans and not wait for studies. <br /> <br />Councilman Meier asked that the Attorney <br />look into how the interim highway plan <br />was passed through DRCOG with the wording <br />that the interchange would be studied, to <br />be completed in a six month period and see <br />if the City could do anything about the <br />plan. <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY REPORT <br />ORDINANCE NO. 682 <br />JOSLIN ANNEXATION <br />SECOND READING P.H. <br /> <br />Attorney Joss reported that the ordinance <br />was published on May 21, 1980 and the <br />public hearing notice was published on <br />May 28, and June 4. Mayor Waschak opened <br />the public hearing. <br />Attorney Joss read the ordinance on second <br />reading by title only. <br />Planner Randall stated that the Planning <br />Commission recommended annexation of the <br />property. <br />Council discussed water taps on the pro- <br />perty. <br />Mr. Wurl stated that only 1 tap would be <br />supplied as the property can not be divided. <br />After discussion Mayor Waschak closed the <br />public hearing. <br />Councilman Caranci moved that Ordinance No. <br />682 be adopted. Seconded by Councilman <br />Fauson. <br />Roll call. Carnival yes, Fauson yes, <br />Domenico yes, DelPizzo yes, Meier yes, <br />Caranci yes. Motion carried. <br />
