Minutes - page 2 June 17, 1980 INTERCHANGE CONTID It was noted that there has been no time limit set on the letter sent to the Hwy. Dept. Mr. Wurl stated there have been many ob- stacles and when DRCOG reviewed the City request for consideration of the interchange, addition to the interim highway plans, they would not let the request become an issue corridor. A study was to be completed in a six month period and that study has not been done. Mr. Klarich, stated that the developers have work to comply with all requests from the State to local levels and this has caused many delays. Councilman DelPizzo stated that the City should continue on with the mall project without waiting for the results from the outside agencies. Councilman Domenico also stated that he wanted to see the developer continue on with the plans and not wait for studies. Councilman Meier asked that the Attorney look into how the interim highway plan was passed through DRCOG with the wording that the interchange would be studied, to be completed in a six month period and see if the City could do anything about the plan. CITY ATTORNEY REPORT ORDINANCE NO. 682 JOSLIN ANNEXATION SECOND READING P.H. Attorney Joss reported that the ordinance was published on May 21, 1980 and the public hearing notice was published on May 28, and June 4. Mayor Waschak opened the public hearing. Attorney Joss read the ordinance on second reading by title only. Planner Randall stated that the Planning Commission recommended annexation of the property. Council discussed water taps on the pro- perty. Mr. Wurl stated that only 1 tap would be supplied as the property can not be divided. After discussion Mayor Waschak closed the public hearing. Councilman Caranci moved that Ordinance No. 682 be adopted. Seconded by Councilman Fauson. Roll call. Carnival yes, Fauson yes, Domenico yes, DelPizzo yes, Meier yes, Caranci yes. Motion carried.
