END LAFAYETTE ST. <br /> <br />BACK UP GENERATOR <br /> <br />CML CONFERENCE FOR <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> <br />Minutes - page 4 <br />May 20, 1980 <br /> <br />Councilman Carnival moved that the City <br />Attorney's report be accepted and placed <br />on file. Seconded by Councilman Meier. <br />Motion carried 6-0. <br /> <br />There was no report be the City Administrator. <br /> <br />Councilman Domenico asked why the Alpine <br />Lumber permit was not granted or brought <br />before the Council. He stated that he <br />felt the Planning Commission had too <br />much power. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl noted that Alpine Lumber asked <br />that it return after a thorough review <br />of the plans for the business, and when <br />they are prepared they will return to <br />the City officials for consideration. <br /> <br />Councilman Domenico felt the City Council <br />should have final word on all matter and <br />moved that all items be finalized by <br />City Council. Seconded by Councilman <br />Fauson. <br />Mr. Wurl stated that that is how the <br />procedure is now. <br />After comments roll call vote was taken <br />AYES: Domenico and DelPizzo. <br />NOES: Carnival, Meier, Fauson. Abstained: <br />Caranci. Motion carried 3 - 2. <br /> <br />Councilman Meier stated that the persons <br />on W. Lafayette were glad to see the <br />sign and chain put up and thanked the <br />crew for getting it in. <br /> <br />Councilman Carnival asked about the back <br />up generator. <br />Mr. Wurl reported that it is scheduled <br />for delivery in about 6 weeks. <br /> <br />Councilman Carnival asked the reasons the <br />Planning Commission was not going to the <br />conference. <br />Mr. Wurl stated that the meetings did <br />not really pertain to planning commissions, <br />and Dir. Rupp was checking into planning <br />conferences for the commission. <br />It was also noted by Council and staff <br />that the funds are not available as well <br />as press coverage of officials attending <br />the conference. <br />
