<br />SCHOOL SIGNALS CONT'D <br /> <br />OPEN SPACE DEED <br />ACCEPTANCE <br /> <br />ROAD MAINTENANCE AGREE- <br />MENT COUNTY - CITY <br /> <br />OPEN SPACE GRAZING LEASE <br /> <br />APPROVAL CITY ADMINISTRATOR <br />REPORT <br /> <br />Council minutes - page 9 <br />February 19, 1980 <br /> <br />be decreased to 15 MPH at the entrance of <br />the school. <br />Councilman Carnival and Meier stated that <br />if the zone distance is reduced, it should <br />not be reduced very much. <br />Councilman Caranci stated that the <br />speed limit should be kept the same as all <br />other school areas are at 20 MPH and it <br />may be called a speed trap if the City <br />is lower. <br /> <br />After discussion the citystaffwas instructed <br />to come up some additional recommendations. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl noted the location of the pro- <br />perty that has been deeded to the City. <br />He noted that this was the land that the <br />City has been negotiating with the County <br />about a trade of the property for County <br />land at the corner of South 80th and <br />So . Boul der Rd. <br />After discussion Councilman Caranci moved <br />that the City accept the deed for 37 <br />acres for open space just north of Mesa <br />Point subdivision. Seconded by Council- <br />man Fauson. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl stated that the staff has gotten <br />together with the County road staff and <br />have come up with an agreement to service <br />and repair streets within the City and <br />County by the two crews. <br />He sited the street locations on the map~ <br />Mr. Wurl stated that either group can <br />terminate the contract if they are not <br />satisfied with the work being done. <br /> <br />Councilman Caranci moved that the Mayor <br />be authorized to sign the road maintenance <br />agreement with the County. Seconded by <br />Councilman Fauson. Motion carried 5 - 1. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl reported that staff has reviewed <br />the request for grazing on open space and <br />there would be fencing necessary along <br />with other problems. He recommended that <br />Council study the matter and instruct <br />Council how they should respond. <br /> <br />Councilman Domenico moved that the City <br />Administrators report be accepted and placed <br />on file. Seconded by Councilman Meier. <br />Motion carried. <br />
