CONTINUED CORRESPONDENCE APPROVAL CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT COUNCIL COMMENTS & COMMITTEE REPORTS BASEBALL FEES Minutes - page 10 February 5, 1980 Councilman DelPizzo suggested that a stop sign be installed on So. Boulder Rd. until the problem is corrected. Mr. Wurl responded that with four lane traffic it is not possible to install a stop sign as one inside lane may not see it and hit on coming traffic, this would be more of a problem then to have through traffic. Staff noted that a stop light at the railroad crossings would require coordinating with the railroad crossing. Councilman Meier recommended a left hand turn lane be used on Main St. along with a signal on So. Bldr. off Centennial. Engineer Richardson stated that this is one system that is being looked at. Councilman Meier asked that staff draw up a plan like that for review. Councilman Carnival asked that a plan for review be drawn up with a light at So. Bldr. Rd. and Main St. Councilman Fauson suggested that the City use barrels to reduce traffic to only one lane going west from railroad tracks until through the intersection. Engineer Richardson will develop the requested plans for the next meeting. Correspondence was reviewed by Mr. Wurl Councilman Domenico moved that the City Administrator's report be accepted and placed on file. Seconded by Councilman Meier. Motion carried. Councilman Carnival asked Mr. Stahl about the increase of the little league baseball fees from $20 to $25. Mr. Stahl stated that last year Council re- commended that the City would pay for half of the programs. At present it is costing about $50 per participant. Councilman Carnival asked Council to recon- sider the percentage as the increase will make it difficult for many children to par- ticipate.
