POLICE VEHICLE BIDS

RTD REPORT

ENCLAVES REPORT

SO. BOULDER ROAD
TRAFFIC REPORT

Minutes - page 9
February 5, 1980

Mr. Wurl stated that Colorado National Leasing
was the low bidder for two Plymouth Volares,
a 2 year lease at $607 per month.

Mr. Wurl stated that it may be possible to
budget for a one year lease for next year,
however, it is too late to do a one year lease
in 1980.
After discussion Councilman DelPizzo moved
that Council award the bid to Colorado National
Leasing for two police cars on a two year
lease at $607 per month. Seconded by Coun-
cilman Fauson.
Staff noted that one car will need new police
equipment.
After comments the motion carried 6-0.

David Stahl reported that they have met with
RTD and discussed the needs of the Louisville
citizens.
A town meeting has been scheduled for March
15, 1980 at the Louisville Middle School.
He stated that they discussed a para transit
system, which is similar to the City van use.
and that RTD wants to know what times are
best for the needs of the community.

Mr. Wurl stated that per Councils request
staff has prepared a map and report on the
matter.
Mr. Wurl noted that the City staff requests
authorization to approach the property owners
and discuss annexation, rather than forcing
them to come into the City.
After comments Councilman Caranci moved that
Mr. Wurl be authorized to contact the property
owners and report back at the first meeting
in March. Seconded by Councilman Domenico.
Motion carried 6 -0.

Mr. Wurl reported that the City Engineer has
reviewed the matter and prepared a map for
Council.
It was noted by Mr. Wurl that the best option
would be to realign Main St. up with Centennial
Drive and install a stop light; however, to do
that it would require acquiring land from the
school and the two property owners on north
Main Street, and install a turn around at the
end of Main.
One temporary idea is to install a signal at
an intersection to the west which would slow
traffic and give people a change to get on
off Main Street. This would also be used for
a pedistrian crossing.
