<br />CABLE TV CONT'D <br /> <br />AUDITS <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY REPORT <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 669 <br />SEWER LAND SALE <br />SECOND READING <br /> <br />SECOND READING <br /> <br />Minutes - page 4 <br />February 5, 1980 <br /> <br />Mr. Ilice stated that many elderly would like <br />to have public access channels; and he also <br />recommended that the franchise include a <br />percent of profits from the company. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl stated that the City has been <br />gathering information on the program from DRCOG <br />and various ci ties in order to get the best deal. <br /> <br />Attorney Joss also noted that in the fran- <br />chise the City is also asking that time and <br />equipment be available to local interest groups, <br />along with other requests. <br /> <br />Mr. Luce asked when the audit will be available. <br />Mr. Wurl stated that the auditors start as soon <br />as they can after January 31, and the City <br />usually has their audit completed around the <br />first of May. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl stated that he has prepared a letter <br />of response to Mr. Conarroe pointing out some <br />of the mistakes in his editorial on the <br />142 acres of sewer land. <br /> <br />Attorney Joss stated that he had received a <br />call from DA Hunter inquiring about the trans- <br />fer of the property and that Mr. Conarroe had <br />told him that Mr. Joss's office had given an opinion <br />to City Council about the spending of the pro- <br />ceeds from the sale. Mr. Joss stated that he <br />informed Mr. Hunter that his office's research <br />only involved the actual transaction, the sale <br />of the property and that they hadn't gotten <br />in to the spending of the money, and they were <br />in the process of finding and reviewing the <br />court order. <br /> <br />Mr. Hunter informed Attorney Joss that he would <br />contact Mr. Conarroe and inform him that he <br />was misquoting Hr. Joss or Hr. Rautenstraus. <br /> <br />Attorney Joss stated that he informed Mr. Hunter <br />that he would keep him advised on the matter. <br /> <br />Attorney Joss read Ordinance No. 669 on second <br />reading by title only. <br />Councilman Caranci moved that Ordinace No. 669 <br />be adopted. Seconded by Councilman DelPizzo. <br />Roll call. Fauson yes, Carnival yes, Caranci <br />yes, Meier yes, Domenico yes, DelPizzo yes. <br />Motion carried. <br />
