The City has been <br />allocated the money and Council needs to <br />adopt the Ordinance and the project can then <br />be completed. <br /> <br />Attorney Joss read Ordinance No. 674 on first <br />reading by title only. Councilman Meier <br />requested that he be allowed to abstain <br />from voting as he did not receive the ordinance. <br /> <br />Councilman DelPizzo moved that Ordinance No. <br />674 be ordered published. Seconded by Coun- <br />cilman Carnival. Motion carried 5 - 0, Coun- <br />cilman Meier abstained. <br /> <br />Bruce Joss reported that the American Legion <br />is requesting a special events license for <br />March 22, 1980 for their birthday party. <br />Councilman DelPizzo moved that a public hearing <br />be scheduled for February 19, 1980. Seconded <br />by Councilman Domenico. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Councilman Domenico moved that the City Attorney <br />report be accepted and placed on file. Se- <br />conded by Councilman Fauson. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl reported that bids were taken on <br />the equipment that was authorized in the <br />budget; but after looking at the economy staff <br />recommended that Council reject the bids. <br />Councilman Domenico moved that the equipment <br />bids be rejected. Seconded by Councilman <br />Carnival. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl stated that various entities have <br />requested funds from the City. Staff has <br />reviewed the different requests and are re- <br />commending that Council allot about $1,000 for <br />Boulder County Hospice, C1inica Campesina, <br />Special Transportation for Boulder Couty, Inc., <br />and Boulder County Dental Aid, Inc. sometime <br />in 1980. <br />After discussion Councilman DelPizzo moved that <br />the community services donation requests be <br />tabled until a later date. Seconded by Coun- <br />cilman Fauson. Motion carried 5 - 1. <br />
