City Council
Study Session Summary
June 1, 2009
Beef O’Bradys – Event space is available. There are sign code concerns. Tree
trimming is needed. The business is expanding by putting in a steam table. The
center is still on the market for sale. The price has not changed in three years,
per Michael Kransdorf, member of the public attending the meeting.
Walgreens – Drop-in visit with representative of the Western United States.
There is a plan to move location from S. Boulder Road.
Cable Labs -Major concern – what is the city doing to go Green. Cable Labs
offered the use of their model for going green. Weeds are growing at the
interchange. They do not want water meter-averaged. The company is pleased
with the Chamber directory. The business is not maxed out on space, although
some consolidation could be done. City is great to work with.
Medamorph and Rocky Net – IT services company specializing in medical
practices. Perform scheduling, insurance, accounting, and HR functions. The
contact owns the building. Rocky Net is located within the building and is a data
center. The servers are leased to Rocky Net. In addition they do data
consulting. Medamorph is currently working on a deal to fill the remaining square
footage. Needs: RTD serve the CTC, and additional options for eating. A Fiber-
ring network around the CTC would be optimal. The nature of business and uses
has changed, and a need for Fiber optics has increased. The company would
like to put together a meeting of business owners, property owners, and tenants
of CTC to discuss the use of a Fiber Ring Network. Medamorph is generally
happy with the City they have. One issue with providing conduits with the
neighboring building.
BRIEFING
Excel will be providing information about energy efficiency. Louisville will be
participating in a Metro Denver Site Visit and taking part in a CBB presentation.
Site selectors from throughout the nation will tour the Denver Metro area and will
include Louisville. Louisville will be taking an active role in the site visit.
Future Topic - Visit Economic Center in Aurora
AGENDA ITEMS FOR JULY 6 MEETING:
CTC Representative Welcome
Parking – Policy Options
Request CTC Representative Andrew Freeman speak to committee
Fiber Ring Network at CTC
Adjourn: 9:55 a.m.
Meeting Summary Submitted by Rhonda Welborn
