<br />Minutes - page 4 <br />November 7, 1979 <br /> <br />OUTSIDE WATER TAPS <br />CONTINUED <br /> <br />Don Bunker, 7615 O'Connor Road. stated <br />that he was in favor of City taps to <br />residents; however, he was opposed to <br />the facilities being allowed to commercial <br />areas, specifically the Wooden Shoe center. <br /> <br />John McWarren, 173 S. 80th St., stated <br />that he was opposed to the school plans <br />also. <br /> <br />Mr. Dav Nielsen, 335 S. 80th, stated that <br />he opposed the proposed school and felt <br />it wou.ld set a precedent if approved. <br /> <br />Lynn Kuykendall, 7981 S. Bldr. Rd., stated <br />that he is also opposed to the possible <br />school and noted that he would withdraw <br />his request for a water tap if it would <br />be necessary for disapproval of the <br />school request. <br /> <br />Councilman DiCarlo and Councilman Meier <br />stated that they were not in favor of <br />serving the school. <br /> <br />Councilman Berry stated that if the <br />Council did decide to service the <br />Wooden Shoe school it would need to <br />include sewer service. <br /> <br />Councilman DelPizzo stated that the City <br />had agreed verbally to stay on the east <br />side of the Mesa and did not endorse the <br />requested water tap for the Wooden Shoe. <br /> <br />After discussion Councilman DiCarlo moved <br />that any requests by the Wooden Shoe School <br />people located on the west si~e of 80th <br />street designated as a day care center <br />for utilities be denied. Seconded by <br />Councilman Meier. Motion carried 5-1. <br /> <br />INTERURBAN BUS DRIVER <br />COUNCIL AUTHORIZATION <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl stated that staff is requesting <br />Councils authorization to advertise for <br />a bus driver. <br />Councilman Meier moved that the Parks Dir. <br />be allowed to advertise for an interurban <br />driver. Seconded by Councilman DiCarlo. <br />Motion carried. <br />
