DRAINAGE <br /> <br />TELEPHONE SYSTEM <br /> <br />MOVING COSTS - CITY HALL <br /> <br />CORRESPONDENCE <br />FIRE DISTRICT LETTER <br /> <br />APPROVAL CITY ADMINISTRATOR <br />REPORT <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS & COMMITTEE <br />REPORTS <br />OUTSIDE TAPS REPORT <br /> <br />Minutes - page 6 <br />October 16, 1979 <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl stated that the problem was re- <br />viewed and keeping the drain clean should <br />resolve the problem, and he will check <br />the north side again. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl requested Council's approval for <br />the City to contract with ATC for the new <br />telephone systems in the amount of <br />$18,443.50. <br />Council voiced their concerns in going <br />with a private telephone company as opposed <br />to Mtn. Bell. <br />It was noted by staff that ATC (Another <br />Telephone Co.) has several local companies <br />telephone business and all the recom- <br />mendations that the City has received have <br />been positive. <br />After discussion Councilman Caranci moved <br />that the City approve the contract with <br />ATC for a new telephone system, in the <br />amount of $18,443.50. Seconded by Coun- <br />cilman Meier. Hotion carried. 5 - 1 <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl reported that when the moving <br />plans were first estimated he did not <br />feel the cost for temporary walls, etc. <br />would exceed $5,000; however, after <br />getting an estimate the cost is now <br />$10,200 which is a firm figure unless <br />changes or additions need to be made. <br />After comments Councilman Berry moved that <br />the City Administrator be authorized to <br />proceed with plans for the move from <br />c~ty hall. Seconded by Councilman Kilker. <br />Motion carried 5 - 1 <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl stated that the Fire Dist. recom- <br />mends that the City get a back up electric <br />program and the City has gotten estimates <br />on this and hopefully they will be sub- <br />mitted to Council on how this may be accom- <br />plished. <br /> <br />Councilman Berry moved that the City <br />Administrators report be accepted and placed <br />on file. Seconded by Councilman DiCarlo. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Councilman Meier asked about the report. <br />Mr. Wurl responded that he is working on <br />the report. <br />
