GRIFFITH ST. & GARFIELD ST. DRAINAGE TELEPHONE SYSTEM MOVING COSTS - CITY HALL CORRESPONDENCE FIRE DISTRICT LETTER APPROVAL CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT COUNCIL COMMENTS & COMMITTEE REPORTS OUTSIDE TAPS REPORT Minutes - page 6 October 16, 1979 Mr. Wurl stated that the problem was re- viewed and keeping the drain clean should resolve the problem, and he will check the north side again. Mr. Wurl requested Council's approval for the City to contract with ATC for the new telephone systems in the amount of $18,443.50. Council voiced their concerns in going with a private telephone company as opposed to Mtn. Bell. It was noted by staff that ATC (Another Telephone Co.) has several local companies telephone business and all the recom- mendations that the City has received have been positive. After discussion Councilman Caranci moved that the City approve the contract with ATC for a new telephone system, in the amount of $18,443.50. Seconded by Coun- cilman Meier. Hotion carried. 5 - 1 Mr. Wurl reported that when the moving plans were first estimated he did not feel the cost for temporary walls, etc. would exceed $5,000; however, after getting an estimate the cost is now $10,200 which is a firm figure unless changes or additions need to be made. After comments Councilman Berry moved that the City Administrator be authorized to proceed with plans for the move from c~ty hall. Seconded by Councilman Kilker. Motion carried 5 - 1 Mr. Wurl stated that the Fire Dist. recom- mends that the City get a back up electric program and the City has gotten estimates on this and hopefully they will be sub- mitted to Council on how this may be accom- plished. Councilman Berry moved that the City Administrators report be accepted and placed on file. Seconded by Councilman DiCarlo. Motion carried. Councilman Meier asked about the report. Mr. Wurl responded that he is working on the report.
