Minutes - page 11
August 21, 1979

Wurl: We solicited their op1n10n, they responded. They said they could
answer. We do that with every agency, Public Service, no matter what
it is, they said they can do it and I think once again, and I hate to
repeat what the other gentlemen told you, but your questions are more
properly asked them. They can tell you how many trucks they need, how
many men they need, how many fire houses they need, that is their
business.

McKee: Well then, are you gentlemen prepared to table this until
we have the answer. They don't know. They haven't gone through the
study they haven't gone through the numbers to tell us whether or not
they can do it, how much it is going to cost us, the taxpayers.

Wurl: You say they don't know. Have you been to a fire district meeting?

McKee: Well they certainly haven't presented that information here and
we asked those questions when they were here.

Wurl: Once again I suggest that you go to there meeting.

McKee: Well, my question is are you willing to table this until
we have the answer.

Wurl: I am not in the position to table anything, but if they want
my opinion I would say no.

McKee: Well, is the Council willing to table it until they have the
answer.

Waschak: You will hear that when I ask what Council wishes to do with
Resolution 14. Now, your time is up, I will not allow you any more
time. You had it I told you this is not a public hearing.

McKee: That's fine that it is not a public hearing, but I am not
going to sit down until I get an answer.

Waschak: Oh yes you are because it is not a public hearing. If you
wish to be escorted out I'll have that donE~ too.

McKee: Well then you are going to have to escort me out.

Waschak: I am going to ask you to sit d0W11 nicely. You had your chance
like anyone else. Mr. Kahan had four minutes, Mr. Cederberg was allowed
3 times 4 which is 12 minutes and you had four minutes, you have gone
past that. Now I'm going to ask you to sit down.

McKee: No sir not til I have an answer.

Wurl: Why don't you proceed with the meeting.

DiCarlo: Your honor, at this time I would like to make a motion that
Resolution No. 14 be adopted.

McKee: Sir I object to these proceedings.
