<br />PARADISE ACRES <br />WATER TAP REQUEST <br /> <br />DRCOG ALTERNATE <br />APPOINTMENT <br /> <br />AUDIENCE COMMENTS <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY REPORT <br />ORDINANCE NO. 650 <br />HIGHFILL ZONING <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 656 <br />REAPPORTIO~ffiNT OF WARDS <br />SECOND READING <br /> <br />Minutes - page 2 <br />August 21, 1979 <br /> <br />Mr. Wur1 reported that the City has received <br />a request for a water tap from Paradise Acres. <br />He recommended tabling of any action until' <br />the report on water taps outside the City is <br />prepared as Council requested. <br />Councilman Kilker moved that action be tabled <br />until the adequate study is presented by <br />Mr. Wurl. Seconded by Councilman Meier. <br />Motion carried. <br />Councilman Berry requested that Mr. Wurl <br />check the ordi.nance to see if a large tap <br />can be sold to several homeowners. <br />Mr. lVurl stated that the parties would be <br />willing to be served either way. <br /> <br />Mayor lVaschak appointed Councilman DelPizzo <br />as' the alternate to DRCOG stating that he <br />would do a good job representing the City. <br /> <br />Don McKee asked why Councilman Meier voted <br />for the 10,500 job allocation when he cared <br />about the 24,000 jobs asked for. <br />Councilman Meier stated that he would have <br />rather seen the 24,000 job allocation <br />approved; however, since the job allocations <br />are dealt with yearly, he did not feel that <br />an argument would have any effect and to <br />accept the recommendation at this time. <br /> <br />Attorney .Joss read Ordinance No. 650 on <br />second reading by title only, stating that <br />the ordinance and notice of public hearing <br />were properly published. <br />Mayor Waschak opened the public hearing. <br />Jim Hillhouse, representing Mr. Highfill, <br />was in attendance to answer questions. <br />There were no comments for or against. <br />Mayor Waschak closed the public hearing. <br />Mr. Drurmn reported that the area is approx- <br />imately 10 acres and the zoning, RL was <br />recommended by the Planning Commission. <br />He also noted that it will be a Planned <br />Unit Development. <br />With no other comments Councilman Meier <br />moved that Ordinance No. 650 be adopted. <br />Seconded by Councilman Caranci. Roll call. <br />DiCarlo yes, Caranci yes, Meier yes, Kilker <br />yes, Berry yes. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Attorney Joss read Ordinance No. 656 on <br />second reading by title only, stating that <br />this ordinance deals with the reapportionment <br />of voting wards in the City. He stated that <br />the reapportionment is within the time limit. <br />
