Beth, Leah) Initiated brainstorming for talent for the 2023 Summer Concerts. Leah says that it
might be helpful to get quotes from sound providers and then send that into a request for
additional funding to the City Council..
- Trina asks if there is a way to measure the success of an event. Leah says that
attendance is one of the best indicators. Leah says that we can bring back an older form
to measure popularity. Mark remarks that in the past, this topic would be in the LCC
minutes and recapped in that next month's meeting to determine the event's success.
Lisa suggests that the LCC member that attends the summer concert, submits an
estimate of the number of people attending as well as other important notes.
- Discussed in the Summer Concert subcommittee: perhaps LCC doesn't have 5 concerts
in the park but only 3 and instead have a few in other, smaller neighborhood parks. Trina
asks about the neighbors being affected by sound in the smaller parks. Leah stated we
would have smaller acts who might bring their own sound - more like a duo or
singer/songwriter.
- Beth will get 3 quotes for sound to send to the Clty Council and then come up with a
budget (hopefully) by the October meeting.
c.
