The Louisville Business Forum hosted over <br />70 guests from businesses; appreciation to LRC members who attended. <br />The Urban Renewal Strategy Report was sent to the Commissioners prior to the meeting. Staff <br />member Brown asked for comments within the next day or so in order to provide comments <br />to DCI this week. <br />Councilmember Williams asked what can be done about businesses leaving downtown. The <br />commission discussed this topic at length and agreed that it should be included as an agenda <br />topic at a future meeting for further discussion. <br />Chair Adler thanked staff member Brown for the City's presentations and efforts at the <br />Business Forum. <br />Councilmember Tofte asked if anyone has applied for the empty LRC seat and suggested that <br />actions need to be taken to fill the seat. Staff commented that applications are sent to the City <br />Clerk and it is uncertain if any have been received at this time. Staff member Brown will check <br />with the City Clerk and report back to the LRC. <br />Business Matters of Commission: <br />Resolution 22-06: Adopting the Louisville Revitalization Commission's Budget for <br />Fiscal Year 2023 <br />Staff member Brown presented the resolution and noted that City Council approved LRC's <br />proposed budget with no changes on 11/1/2022. <br />Chair Adler called for commissioner questions — none <br />Chair Adler called for public comment — none <br />It was agreed that the LRC position job description, roles and responsibilities should be <br />included as an agenda item next month. Councilmember Harald added that the topic of <br />marketing and communications should also be discussed. <br />Chair Adler motioned to adopt the LRC budget for 2023, Commissioner Harald seconded. <br />Roll call vote: the resolution passed unanimously. <br />Discussion/Direction- Fagade Improvement Program <br />Staff member Brown asked to formalize a previous discussion that the current funding <br />structure for this program may create disincentive for projects over $15k.
