City Council <br />Meeting Minutes <br />December 6, 2022 <br />Page 3 of 6 <br />City Manager Jeff Durbin stated there have been neighborhood meetings related to the <br />shots fired on McCaslin. They were well attended and the neighbors appreciated the <br />information. <br />REGULAR BUSINESS <br />AWARD 2022 CONTRACT FOR WILDFIRE HAZARD AND RISK ASSESSMENT OF <br />LOUISVILLE PUBLIC LANDS TO LYNKER TECHNOLOGIES, LLC — MOVED FROM <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />Mayor Pro Tem Maloney what assessment work will be done for properties adjacent the <br />open spaces and what information will be included to help inform the Council. <br />Director Blackmore noted that the report will make recommendations for management <br />of open spaces including those adjacent to private property and will bring <br />recommendations for changes to building codes, the municipal code, and fire policies. It <br />will include a list of community resources for private property owners. There will be <br />public outreach and efforts to get public input in the project as well. <br />Mayor Stolzmann noted the County will also be doing a wildfire mitigation plan in which <br />the City will participate. <br />Councilmember Fahey asked if all the adjoining areas near open space will be <br />considered. Director Blackmore stated those areas would be included. <br />Councilmember Fahey would like this project done as quickly as possible. <br />Councilmember Most also noted homes that are not directly adjacent to open space will <br />need to harden their homes against fire. She would like to see public funds set aside to <br />help people with that work. <br />MOTION: Mayor Pro Tem Maloney moved to award the contract; seconded by <br />Councilmember Leh. <br />VOTE: Motion passed by unanimous roll call vote. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1845, SERIES 2022 — AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER <br />15.18.030 OF THE LOUISVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE CONCERNING AMENDMENTS <br />AND DELETIONS TO THE 2021 INTERNATIONAL ENERGY CONSERVATION <br />CODE TO INCLUDE REQUIREMENTS FOR COMMERCIAL ENERGY USE <br />INTENSITY PERFORMANCE TARGETS AND RESTRICTIONS OF FOSSIL FUEL <br />SPACE AND WATER HEATING EQUIPMENT — 2"d READING, PUBLIC HEARING <br />continue to 12120122 <br />
