It was noted that this will <br />update the adoption of the 1974 edition. <br />Mr. Joss stated that the Uniform Building <br />Code has been amended to allow a person <br />doeing his own work does not require a <br />building permit if the work is $250 or <br />less. Councilman Caranci moved that <br />Ordinance #535 be adopted. Seconded by <br />Councilman DelPizzo. Roll call. Domenico <br />yes, DiLorenzo yes, Caranci yes, DiCarlo <br />yes, McDonald yes, DelPizzo yes. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />Attorney Joss noted that the public hearing <br />notices and ordinances had be published <br />he then read the ordinance on second <br />reading by title only. <br />Mayor Waschak opened the public hearing. <br />There were no comments for or against the <br />ordinance, public hearing was closed and <br />comments turned over to Council. <br />Councilman DiCarlo moved that Ordinance <br />#536 be adopted. Seconded by Councilman <br />McDonald. Roll call. Domenico yes, <br />DelPizzo yes, McDonald yes, Caranci yes, <br />DiLorenzo yes, DiCarlo yes. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Attorney Joss read Ordinance #539 on se- <br />cond reading by title only. Councilman <br />Caranci moved that Ordinance #539 be <br />adopted. Seconded by Councilman DiLorenzo. <br />Roll call. Domenico yes, DiCarlo yes, <br />DelPizzo yes, DiLorenzo yes, McDonald <br />yes, Caranci yes. Motion carried. <br /> <br />City Attorney Joss stated that this Ordinance <br />has been drafted to amend the water reg- <br />ulations which would permit the Mayor to <br />declare watering restrictions in an emer- <br />gency and also that any person who is con- <br />victed of wasting water at least two times <br />may have to install a water meter. <br />Councilman McDonald stated that in section <br />13-1-23 instead of saying that a service <br />"may" be metered... it should state that <br />the service "will" be metered. <br />Councilman DelPizzo stated that he felt that <br />section 13-1-23 should be completely thrown <br />out as a person may get issued a summons <br />although it was completely innocent. <br />Mayor Waschak stated that common sense would <br />be used on issuing the summons. <br />
