MUNICIPAL LEAGUE <br />NOVEMBER BALLOT <br /> <br />AMENDMENT #1 - SWEEPSTAKES <br /> <br />AMENDMENT #2 - MOBILE HOMES <br />TAXATION <br /> <br />AMENDMENT #3 <br />NUCLEAR ENERGY <br /> <br />AMENDMENT #10 <br />TAXATION <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl stated that the Colorado <br />Municipal League has sent information <br />to the City relating the leagues <br />position on the various amendments that <br />will appear on the November ballot. <br />The two primary amendments are #1 <br />and #10. <br />Mr. Wurl stated that the league will <br />be supporting amendment #1 and oppose <br />#10. <br />Mr. Wurl stated that he felt the <br />City should take a position on these <br />and instruct the City staff to <br />follow up on the publication. <br />Mr. Wurl stated that they are only <br />dealing with amendments #1, #2, #3 <br />and #10. <br /> <br />Councilman Domenico moved that the <br />Councilm support amendment #1. <br />Seconded by Councilman McDonald. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Councilman DelPizzo stated that he did <br />not feel that this is fair. <br />Councilman DiCarlo moved that Council <br />support amendment #2. Seconded by <br />Councilman DiLorenzo. Roll call. <br />DelPizzo no, DiLorenzo yes, DiCarlo <br />yes, Caranci yes, McDonald yes, <br />Domenico yes. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Councilman McDonald moved that Council <br />oppose amendment #3. Seconded by <br />Councilman DiCarlo. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl stated that if this is passed <br />it will require a majority vote of <br />the registered voters to vote in favor <br />of increasing the taxes. <br />Councilman DiCarlo moved that <br />Council oppose amendment #10. <br />Seconded by Councilman McDonald. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl stated that the information <br />will be given to the Louisville Times <br />and there will be formal resolutions <br />at the next meeting. <br /> <br />-3- <br />
