COAL CREEK CONT'D

AUDIENCE COMMENTS
CITY ATTORNEY REPORT

CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT
OIL & GAS LEASE

Mayor Waschak appointed City Adminis-
trator Wurl, Councilman: McDonald, DiCarlo
and Caranci to meet with the Lafayette
delegates for discussion only.
Councilman DelPizzo stated that he was
not in favor of pooling resources and facil-
itites as he felt Louisvlle would not be
benefitting and Lafayette would.
Councilman Domenico stated for the records
that he was against the discussion with
Lafayette because in past we have gotten
nothing from them.

There were not comments from the audience.

Councilman Domenico moved that the
City Attorney report be tabled. Seconded
by Councilman DelPizzo. Motion carried.

Mr. Ray Shelton and Mr. Roehrs were in
attendance to discuss the plan.
Mr. Roehrs outlined the plans for the City
Council stating that they were planning to
drill a well on Mr. Frank Hochedors land,
for possible oil or gas. He stated that
they would like to acquire a non-development
lease which was similar to a standard oil
and gas lease, but a rig will not be moved
onto City property.
Mr. Roehrs stated that if gas is found on
Mr. Hochedors land; a portion of City
property and First Savings Investment
Corp. property will be incorporated and
only one well will be necessary.
If oil is found the depths of drilling
will be around 7,000 feet. The drilling
would be upon Mr. Hochedors land in the
direction and onto city property.
It was noted that the City would receive
royalities and a portion which will first
go to FSIC to help payoff expenses of
the capping of the well which was located
in the subdivision which first prompted
the developer to check into the possibility
of drilling.
It was noted that if the City does not
grant the lease the drilling may still
commence.
After discussion, Councilman DelPizzo moved
tha the oil and gas lease requested be
approved., subj ect to City Attorneys review
and approval. Seconded by Councilman
McDonald.

-4-
