<br />WATER STORAGE TANK <br />UPDATE CONT'D <br /> <br />discussed at the last meeting. He stated <br />that he has talked with the contractor <br />reviewing the alternative proposal which <br />was discussed with retaining the caissons. <br />The additional cost would bring the bid <br />up to $456,212. <br />Mr. Hobbs requested that Council approve <br />the construction costs with the caissons <br />and the removal of certain mechanical <br />aspects related to the tank. <br />The 18" line would remain in the tank <br />construction for a hook up at a later <br />date. <br />It was noted by Mr. Hobbs that the caissons <br />would be concrete 30" diameter approximately <br />3,800 linear feet of caisson would b e <br />in the tank. <br />Councilman MCDonald asked where the rest <br />of the money was going to come from to <br />make up for the increase in the cost. <br />Mr. Wurl stated that $27,000 will come from <br />water line replacement and $19,147 will <br />come for the water rights acquisition. <br />This will not effect the shares already <br />being negotiated. Councilman Caranci asked <br />how the mechanical factor could now be <br />cut when they couldn't before. <br />Mr. Hobbs stated that there were two <br />different ways that there could be cuts. <br />He stated that this was under the other <br />alternative. <br />After discussion Councilman DelPizzo <br />moved that Council awared the contract to <br />Western Empirer Constructors, Inc., at the <br />cost of $456,212 as presented by <br />Mr. Noel Hobbs. <br />Seconded by Councilman DiLorenzo. Roll <br />call. DelPizzo yes, McDonald yes, <br />DiCarlo yes, DiLorenzo yes, Domenico yes, <br />Caranci yes. Motion carried. <br /> <br />COUNCIL COMMENTS & <br />COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />E.F. INDUSTRIES <br /> <br />Councilman DiCarlo moved that the City <br />Administrators report be accepted and <br />placed on file. <br />Seconded by Councilman McDonald. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Councilman DiCarlo asked what was <br />happening with the E.
