Bid open- <br />ing June 25, 1976 - Bid letting July 24, <br />1976, construction date - week of August <br />1, 1976 - completion - end of Feb. or <br />early March, 1977. <br />Discussion was held by Councilman DelPizzo <br />and Mr. Hobbs regarding 4 alternatives <br />for design of water tank. <br />Administrator Wurl asked what Boulder County <br />was concerned about other than the slopes? <br />Mr. Hobbs stated that one of the female <br />planners from Boulder County suggested <br />that a 50' tree be planted on the east <br />side of the tank so that the people in <br />Hillsborough North could not see the tank. <br />Rocky Mountain Consultants recommendation <br />was a dyke that would serve a dual purpose, <br />drainage and screening. <br />Administrator Wurl informed Council a <br />bond issue had been passed for waste- <br />water treatment plant expansion and <br />the agreement for egineering services of <br />Rocky Mountain Consultants needed author- <br />ization from the Mayor and City Clerk to <br />sign. <br />Mr. Hobbs then explained the contract. <br />Councilman McDonald asked if the amount <br />of the agreement exceeded the previous <br />figure agreed upon. Administrator Wurl <br />advised it was not and was within the <br />amount to be expended from the bond issue <br />for 'engineering services. <br />Councilman McDonald moved that the Mayor <br />and City Clerk be authorized to sign the <br />contract. Seconded by Counilman DiLorenzo. <br />Roll call vote - DiLorenzo yes, DelPizzo <br />yes, Domenico -yes, McDonald yes, Caranci <br />yes, DiCarlo no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />- 7 - <br />
