CONARROE <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY REPORT <br />MAYHOFFER SUIT <br /> <br />ORDINANCE 11498 <br />1ST READING <br />LEASE AGREEMENT <br /> <br />CITY ADMINISTRATORS REPORT <br />FILTER PLANT <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl stated that the LHA board has <br />requested the appointment of Kathy Hitch- <br />cock to the board, replacing Barbara <br />McDonal d. <br />Councilman DelPizzo moved that Kathy <br />Hitchcock be appointed to the LHA board. <br />Seconded by Councilman Domenico. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Conarroe stated that if the purpose <br />of the legal defense organization is used <br />for an important issue he would accept it; <br />if it was to aid unimportant issues, he <br />did not want to see his tax dollars being <br />put into the organization. He also stated <br />that he felt there were other means of <br />obtaining financial assistance for these <br />organizations then going to individual <br />city's and requesting funds. Also, if <br />the City put funding into one organization <br />it will possibly result in the supporting <br />of many other organizations. <br />Steve Anderson stated that there is a <br />legal organization which deals specifically <br />with home owners and tenants. <br /> <br />Attorney Morris stated that he has filed <br />all necessary papers to bring the suit to <br />an end. <br /> <br />All Council members were given a copy of <br />Ordinance 11498 pertaining to the entering <br />into a lease agreement with Preferred Lease <br />Corporation, for a police car and pickup, <br />for their records. <br />With no more comments Councilman Caranci <br />moved that Ordinance 11498 be ordered pub- <br />lished. Seconded by Councilman Domenico. <br />Roll call. DiCarlo no, Caranci yes, <br />DelPizzo yes, McDonald yes, DiLorenzo <br />yes, Domenico yes. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Councilman DiCarlo moved that the City <br />Attorney report be accepted and placed <br />on file. Seconded by Councilman Domenico. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl stated that the estimated cost <br />of the addition on the filter plant is <br />currently $242,000 per million gallons if <br />an additional two million gallon tank is <br />built. $182,000 per million gallons if an <br />addition is in the ten million gallon range. <br /> <br />-6- <br />
