<br />BACKHOE - LEASE PURCHASE <br /> <br />LEASE PAYMENT SCHEDULE <br /> <br />ESTIMATE HANDICAPPED <br />RAMPS <br /> <br />WATER & SEWER TAP INCREASE <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl stated that a lease purchase had <br />been budgeted for a backhoe for the City. <br />He stated that five quotes were obtained <br />and it was his recommendation that Council <br />consider the outright purchase of the back- <br />hoe charging 2/3 of the cost to the water <br />bond issue and the remaining 1/3 to the <br />sewer bond issue. It was stated that it <br />was the staffs intention to do the major <br />part of the water line work remaining in- <br />stead of contracting which would save the <br />City money. <br />He also stated that it was the staffs re- <br />commendation along with the City crew that <br />Council authorize the purchase of the Ford <br />Backhoe. He added that the Ford quote in- <br />cludes a larger ditch cleaning bucket. Mr. <br />Wurl reviewed the quotes. <br />After discussion, Councilman DiCarlo <br />moved that the City enter into an agree- <br />ment to purchase the Ford backhoe from <br />Longmont Farm Supply in the amount of <br />$26,929.00 under the staff agreement which <br />takes 2/3 of payment from the Water Bond <br />and 1/3 from the Sewer Bond. Seconded by <br />Councilman McDonald. Roll call on motion. <br />Caranci yes, DiLorenzo yes, Domenico yes, <br />DiCarlo yes, McDonald yes, DelPizzo yes. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl reviewed the lease payment <br />schedule as requested by Council for their <br />information. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl stated that a recommendation was <br />developed, but after reviewing it further, <br />it was his request that it be reviewed <br />further and a recommendation brought back <br />to Council. <br />He stated that one of the possibilities <br />was to remove the parking space directly <br />in front of the Council chambers door to <br />make the entrance more visible to people <br />who are attending meetings at the City. <br />Council accepted the request for tabling <br />the matter until completely reviewed. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl stated that with the rise in <br />costs for materials and work he recommended <br />to Council that they authorize the pre- <br />paration of an ordinance increaseing water <br />tap fees to $1,300 and sewer tap fees to <br />$650. <br /> <br />-7- <br />
