<br />WOOD BROS. CONT'D <br /> <br />:Mr. Heiter stated that the size of the pond <br />is yet to be determined pending discussion <br />'wi th Ci ty staff. <br />Councilman DelPizzo asked who was to main- <br />tain the Goodhue Ditch which runs through <br />the subdivision. Also if it would be <br />possible to get some type of fence put on <br />the sides of the sidewalk where the ditch <br />erosses under it. <br />]~r. Heiter stated that he could not see any <br />problems with having a fence put up. He <br />also stated that the land was to be dedicated <br />to the City and at that time it will be <br />the City's responsiblity to maintain the <br />ditch. <br />After the presentation Council stated that <br />basically they approved of the proposed <br />plans. <br /> <br />ALMEGA PROPERTY <br /> <br />Hr. Conarroe asked what the status was on <br />the property which was sold by the City and <br />was to be developed by the purchaser for <br />pharmaceutical supplies. He stated that <br />recently 'for sale"signs have gone up on <br />the property. <br />~1r. Wurl stated that he has called Mr. <br />Pierce, but has not been able to talk with <br />him; but he thought there was a financial <br />problem. He stated that he will keep <br />checking. <br />~tt. Conarroe stated that he felt some <br />type of clause should be put in sales <br />contracts to help control situations <br />such as this. <br />He also stated that citizens feel that the <br />property should be put up for bid before <br />negotiated on with outside firms. <br /> <br />~~ry Shipton asked if something could be <br />done to get RTD buses into the City. She <br />stated that the buses run in Lafayette <br />and pass Louisville, but can not stop in <br />the City to pick up our citizens. <br />~~. Wurl stated that the City is subject to <br />paying the RTD tax until 1984; and put in <br />a.pproximately $25,000 per year. Therefore, <br />if the City did drop out of the system <br />w'e would still be obligated to pay the tax. <br />M~. Wurl stated that the new manager of <br />RTD has visited with him in regards to <br />possible facilities, but nothing has been <br />set up as of yet.
