Min utes
Jan. 20,1976

ORDINANCE #485 CONT'D

was published the way Council requested
it to be. If Council agrees to change it,
then it should be changed. He felt that
the zoning map and the request should of
been handled all at one time.
Councilman McDonald asked if Ordinance
#485 was important towards the proposed
annexation of the Mizel property.
Mr. Wurl stated that in adopting the HBl04l
guidelines, the staff used several different
avenues. Subdivision regulations were
amended, a flood plan ordinance was adopted.
and among that part of HB 1041 guidelines
were inserted in Ordinance #485. The LUC
concurred with the Citys procedure. He
stated that the critical point was that the
LUC was assured that the Mizel proposal
would come under the HB 1041 guidelines
and the City would like to have the Ord-
inance adopted so the guidelines would be
in effect to take the proper steps to
formalize the Mizel annexation. He felt
that the Ordinance should be finalized
before Mizel is acted on. Mr. Wurl
stated that the map does not concern the
Mizel proposal; however, the text of the
Ordinance does involve it.
Councilman DelPizzo stated that he is in
favor of the Mizel proposal however, the
rezoning of Main Street is also of
great concern to him. He stated that he
felt the percentage of people who requested
the rezoning of Main Street are not being
considered and he felt this was wrong. It
was stated that even if Ordinance #485 is
passed, Councilman DelPizzo's request will
still be considered and if Council approves
the request, the change will be made.
Mr. Wurl pointed out to Council that the
actions which surrounded the development
of Ordinance #485 and the map was not
thw work of anyone person; it was done at
the request of the Planning Commission and
Council.
After comments, roll call was taken on the
motion to adopt Ordinance #485. Domenico
no, DiLorenzo yes, DiCarlo yes, DelPizzo
no, Caranci yes, McDonald yes. Motion
carried.

-10-
