Hin utes
Jan. 20, 1976

ORDINANCE #485 CONT'D

Domenico yes, DelPizzo yes, DiCarlo no,
Caranci no, DiLorenzo no, McDonald no.
Motion defeated.
Councilman Caranci then moved that Ordinance
#485 be adopted. Seconded by Councilman
DiLorenzo.
Mayor Waschak called for a public hearing.
Mrs. Shipton asked for a clarification on
the fence revision.
Mr. Drumm stated that before a solid fence
could not be constructed within 25' of a
street; therefore fences would be solid
in the back and drop to a chain type fence
on the sides near the street. The change
allows for a lower solid fence to be
constructed along the property line of the
street so there will not be the changing
of fence types. Mr. Wurl stated that on
the height it was previously 42" and the
change brings it up to 48".
Steve Anderson asked what effects the fence
change will have on his property which is
next to show homes in the Wood Bros. area,
as a 6' fence is now up on one side of his
property closing in the show homes.
Mr. Wurl stated that the 6' fence will
have to be removed and a fence be recon-
structed within the regulations.
Richard Hershey stated that he agreed with
Councilman DelPizzo on the changing of
Main Street, because it was brought up
before the rezoning was presented to Council
and he felt that Councilman DelPizzo's
matter should be considered before final
action on the rezoning ordinance.
Dennis Lundberg stated that the Urban
Renewal Authority can not give grant
assistance to property owners in an area
zoned commercial using federal or state
funding.
Councilman Domenico stated that he was
tired of the north end of the City getting
everything and the south end having nothing.
Councilman DelPIzzo stated that he felt it
was poor planning for rezoning and should
be revised before final action taken.
City Planner Drumm stated that no matter
how the Council feels about his changes,
they are his recommendations as he feels
would be best. He also stated that he did
not agree with Councilman DelPizzo's re-
quest and an extensive review letter
has been written and although he and
Councilman DelPizzo do not agree; the map

9
