<br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br />2ND YEAR CD FUNDS <br /> <br />MR. Wurl stated that Mr. Chenoweth has <br />supplied the City with an outline of <br />deadlines for applying for funds. Also, <br />there were two planning corporations <br />who applied for the planning of the <br />program; George C. Perkins & Assoc. and <br />Oblinger/Smith Corp. <br />The staff recommended that Oblinger/ <br />Smith be granted the contract. Mr. <br />Chenowethe,"concurred. <br />Councilwoman moved that Council follow <br />the recommendation of LURA and grant <br />the contract to Oblinger/Smith to <br />complete the applications to HUD for <br />the second year program. Seconded by <br />Councilman Berry. Roll call. Domenico <br />yes, Berry yes, Caranci yes, Dhieux yes, <br />DelPizzo yes, DiCarlo yes. Motion carried. <br /> <br />E & F INDUSTRIES REPORT <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl stated that the Building In- <br />spector inspect Mr. Alex Domenicos home <br />and a report was turned in. Also it <br />was requested by Council that the City <br />check with state and federal agencies <br />to monitor the size of blasts being <br />made at E & F. Mr. Wurl stated that <br />it has been difficult in finding a <br />firm which will be able to do this work <br />for the City. <br />Mr. Morris stated that he was unable to <br />meet with Mr. Domenico's lawyer to dis- <br />cuss the problem. <br />Mr. Yoblin of E & F stated that the com- <br />pany had sent out 12 letters to resi- <br />dents near the blasting sight inviting <br />them to come to the firm and view the <br />procedures, but there has been no <br />response to the letters. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl stated that the Police Chief <br />was requesting that Detection Services <br />be included in the Police Regulations. <br />Chief Munger stated that there would be <br />no increase in salary however, his class- <br />ification would be changed. Chief Munger <br />stated that the staff would like to have <br />Chris Bratton who is now a patrolman on <br />the force to be designated as the detective <br />officer. It was also stated that he would <br />not be a full time detective, but would <br />still hold partial patrolman duties. <br /> <br />POLICE REGULATIONS <br />DETECTIVE SERVICES <br /> <br />-5- <br />
