LIQUOR LICENSE RENEWALS CONT'D SEADERS LIQUORS BLUE PARROT LHA APPOINTMENT MINERS STATUE PLACEMENT CENTENNIAL COMMITTEE REQUEST Councilman Domenico moved that the renewal of Seaders liquor license be approved. Seconded by Councilman DiCarlo. Motion carried. A question was brought up in regards to the adendum to the application for the Blue Parrot regarding the legal possession of the licensed premises. Mr. Wurl stated he would check on the question. Coun- cilman DiCarlo moved that the Blue Parrot license renewal be tabled until the next meeting until question #5 is clarified. Seconded by Councilman Berry. Motion carried. Mayor Waschak stated that LHA requested that Mary Shipton be appointed to fill the vacancy of Bill Gans on the Board. Councilman Caranci asked Mrs. Shipton why she would like to serve on the Board. She stated that she is interested in the Elderly housing project and would like to serve the community as an active mem- ber of LHA. Mr. Steve Anderson stated also that Mrs. Shipton was on CAC but had resigned. Councilman Caranci moved that Mrs. Shipton be appointed to LHA. Seconded by Council- man Domenico. Motion carried. Mr. Wurl stated to Council that a request was made from the Centennial Committee on placing the miners statue at City Hall. The suggested location was in the north east area of the lawn on the east side of the Spruce tree. Councilman DelPizzo stated that he would like to see the site near the planters and flag. It was stated that there was too much activity in that local and it would take away from the statue. Councilman Berry moved that the statue be located near the Spruce tree as requested. Seconded by Councilman Caranci. Roll call. DelPizzo no, Domenico no, Dhieux no, DiCarlo no, Caranci yes, Berry yes. Motion defeated. It was then suggested that Mrs. Conarroe apply for the grant stating that the lo- cation will be at City Hall and the final placement will be decided at a later date. -2-
