<br />LIQUOR LICENSE RENEWALS CONT'D <br />SEADERS LIQUORS <br /> <br />BLUE PARROT <br /> <br />LHA APPOINTMENT <br /> <br />MINERS STATUE PLACEMENT <br />CENTENNIAL COMMITTEE <br />REQUEST <br /> <br />Councilman Domenico moved that the renewal <br />of Seaders liquor license be approved. <br />Seconded by Councilman DiCarlo. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />A question was brought up in regards to <br />the adendum to the application for the <br />Blue Parrot regarding the legal possession <br />of the licensed premises. Mr. Wurl stated <br />he would check on the question. Coun- <br />cilman DiCarlo moved that the Blue Parrot <br />license renewal be tabled until the next <br />meeting until question #5 is clarified. <br />Seconded by Councilman Berry. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />Mayor Waschak stated that LHA requested <br />that Mary Shipton be appointed to fill <br />the vacancy of Bill Gans on the Board. <br />Councilman Caranci asked Mrs. Shipton why <br />she would like to serve on the Board. <br />She stated that she is interested in <br />the Elderly housing project and would like <br />to serve the community as an active mem- <br />ber of LHA. Mr. Steve Anderson stated <br />also that Mrs. Shipton was on CAC but had <br />resigned. <br />Councilman Caranci moved that Mrs. Shipton <br />be appointed to LHA. Seconded by Council- <br />man Domenico. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl stated to Council that a request <br />was made from the Centennial Committee on <br />placing the miners statue at City Hall. <br />The suggested location was in the north <br />east area of the lawn on the east side of <br />the Spruce tree. Councilman DelPizzo <br />stated that he would like to see the site <br />near the planters and flag. It was stated <br />that there was too much activity in that <br />local and it would take away from the statue. <br />Councilman Berry moved that the statue be <br />located near the Spruce tree as requested. <br />Seconded by Councilman Caranci. Roll call. <br />DelPizzo no, Domenico no, Dhieux no, DiCarlo <br />no, Caranci yes, Berry yes. Motion defeated. <br />It was then suggested that Mrs. Conarroe <br />apply for the grant stating that the lo- <br />cation will be at City Hall and the final <br />placement will be decided at a later date. <br /> <br />-2- <br />
