<br />REGULAR MEETING <br /> <br />LOUISVILLE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />SEPTEMBER 16, 1975 <br /> <br />Mayor Waschak called the regular meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. with the <br />following Council members present: Domenico, Berry, Caranci, Dhieux, <br />DelPizzo and DiCarlo. Others present: City Administrator Wurl, City <br />Attorney Morris, City Engineer White, City Clerk Santilli, City Planner <br />Drumm. <br /> <br />ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES <br /> <br />Councilman DiCarlo requested that the <br />minutes be corrected on the motion to <br />accept committee reports it was moved <br />by DiCarlo and seconded by Domenico. <br />With no more corrections Mayor Waschak <br />and Council approved the minutes as <br />corrected. <br /> <br />COUNCIL ITEMS <br />CONTINUATION OF PUBLIC HEARING <br />OF HB 1041 - MATTER OF STATE <br />INTEREST <br /> <br />Councilman Caranci moved that the pub- <br />lic hearing be continued on HB 1041 <br />Designating Matters of State Interest <br />until 7:30 P.M., October 7, 1975. <br />Seconded by Councilman Berry. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF ELECTION JUDGES <br /> <br />Councilman Caranci moved that the fol- <br />lowing poeple be approved as judges for <br />the November 4, 1975, election. <br />Ward I <br />Eleanor Autrey, Sharon Caranci, Nancy <br />Varra - Judges; Sue Lastoka Alternate. <br /> <br />Ward II <br />Josephine Martella, Olivia Zarina, Rose <br />Ross - Judges; Jennie Milano Alternate. <br /> <br />Ward III <br />Ethel Lawrence, Marion D'Hallicourt, <br />Mary Parkin - Judges; Clara Lawrence <br />Alternate. <br />Councilman Domenico stated that he did <br />not feel it was right to have City <br />employees working as judges. Attorney <br />Morris stated that there was nothing <br />in the statutes stating City employees <br />could not be judges. It was stated that <br />the City offices would be closed on that <br />day so there would be no conflict in <br />working hours. It was also stated that <br />the two City employees were eligible to <br />work as judges in regards to requirements9 <br />and also that these were all the appli- <br />cations received to serve. <br />Motion was seconded by Councilman DiCarlo <br />to accept the City Clerks recommendations. <br />Motion carried 5-1. <br />
