<br />FIRE DEPARTMENT - HOSE <br /> <br />Councilman DiCarlo stated that he would like <br />to see the purchasing of new fire hose be- <br />cause they are short. Chief Elrod stated to <br />comply with the state regulations the fire <br />department needs approximately 5,000 feet <br />of 2~1I hose and 2,500 feet of 1~1I hose. <br />No action was taken. <br /> <br />Councilman Domenico stated that the police <br />department should be notified to watch <br />during emergencies, people who follow the <br />equipment. He stated that they were running <br />over the fire hose instead of going around it. <br />He suggested that summons might be issued to <br />people who continue to abuse the emergency <br />equipment. Mr. Wur1 will speak to the <br />police department. <br /> <br />Councilman DiCarlo moved that the committee <br />reports and comments be accepted. Seconded <br />by Councilman DiCarlo. Moiton carried. <br /> <br />AUDIENCE COMMENTS <br /> <br />Mr. Duane Elrod stated that he felt there <br />should be more control exercised during the <br />fall festival. <br />Councilwoman Dhieux asked Mr. Elrod if he <br />felt that Council should discontinue the <br />celebration. Mr. Elrod stated that he did <br />not feel the celebration should be stopped, <br />but that establishments should have better <br />control over thier crowds. <br />Discussion was held there was no action <br />taken. <br /> <br />COTTONWOOD PARK <br /> <br />Mrs. Linda Garrett asked if IINo Dogs Allowedll <br />signs will be placed in the park. Mayor <br />Waschak stated that signs will be installed <br />at the park. <br />She1 also asked if there was a possibility <br />of having a telephone installed at the park. <br />Mr. Wur1 will check on the telephone. <br /> <br />LAFAYETTE STREET REPAIR <br /> <br />Mrs. Garrett asked who was paying for the <br />repair of Lafayette St. in the Wood Bros. <br />area. Mr. Wur1 stated that he was going <br />to speak with Wood Bros. on the matter. <br /> <br />Mrs. Garrett stated that the alley which <br />was vacated behind her home has a 7 foot <br />open area between the fences east and west <br />She stated that children are playing back <br />there and asked if there was anything the <br />City could do to correct this problem. <br />Mr. Wur1 stated that it was no private <br />property and the owners would have to be <br />confronted. <br /> <br />ALLEY VACATION <br /> <br />10. <br />
