<br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR REPORT <br /> <br />ALLEY WAYS ADJACENT TO <br />WOOD BROTHERS <br /> <br />FEDERAL HIGHWAY FUNDS <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY REPORT <br />ORDINANCE #462 <br />BICYCLE LICENSING <br /> <br />ORDINANCE #463 <br />ADOPTION OF ELECTRICAL, <br />BUILDING, MECHANICAL, AND <br />PLUMBING CODE <br /> <br />-4- <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl reviewed the correspondence. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl informed Council that the City <br />had reviewed the proposed opening of <br />the alleys on the west side of the City <br />adjacent to Wood Bros. between Short <br />and Lafayette Streets. He stated that <br />they have found a problem that the <br />City only has 7% feet of right-of-way. <br />Mr. Wurl stated that he did not feel <br />that they will be able to open the alley. <br />He asked Council to go to the sight and <br />review the situation. It was Mr. Wurls <br />suggestion that the alley be vacated <br />and the City maintain utility easements. <br /> <br />Mr. Wurl informed Council in regards <br />to Federal Highway Funds. He stated <br />that they provided additional non- <br />federal aid money to the cities of <br />Colorado. He stated that the City <br />submitted an application for funds <br />of $102,000 and that he felt we would <br />get a grant in the amount of $28,856. <br />The City received money for striping <br />and two guard rails on South Boulder <br />Road and also the widening and tieing <br />in at the west end of South Boulder <br />Road where it narrows down. <br /> <br />Councilman Domenico moved that the <br />City Administrators report be accepted. <br />Seconded by Councilman DelPizzo. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mayor Waschak opened the public hearing. <br />Mr. Richard Hershey and Mr. Steve <br />Anderson stated their disapproval of <br />having a bell warning device and the <br />bicycles. There were no other comments <br />for or against the ordinance. Council <br />stated their comments on the ordinance. <br />After discussion Councilman Berry <br />moved to adopt Ordinance #462 with the <br />deletion of Sec. 3l-A-17B. Seconded <br />by Councilman DiCarlo. Roll call on <br />motion. Domenico no, Berry yes, Dhieux <br />yes, DelPizzo yes, DiCarlo yes. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />Mayor Waschak opened the publice hearing <br />for adoption of Ordinance #463. There <br />were no comments. Councilman DiCarlo <br />moved that Ordinance #463 be adopted. <br />
