<br />CITY HALL REMODELING cont'd <br /> <br />CODE ENFORCEMENT VAN <br /> <br />CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER <br /> <br />-4- <br /> <br />discussion Councilwoman Dhieux moved <br />that the City put out for bid in <br />accordance with the recommendations <br />from the City Engineer for remodeling <br />of City Hall and not to exceed the <br />amount of $16,000.00. Seconded by <br />Councilman Berry. Roll call. Domenico <br />yes, Berry yes, Scholl no, Dhieux yes, <br />DelPizzo yes, DiCarlo yes. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />t~r. Wurl reported that the van situation <br />was about the same. Attorney Morris <br />stated that the leasing company will <br />supply the City with a van of the same <br />value if the City still wants it. <br />Councilman Berry moved that the City <br />Administrator be instructed to contact <br />the leasing company to negotiate for <br />a van of equal value. Seconded by <br />Councilwoman Scholl. Roll call. Berry <br />yes, Domenico yes, Scholl yes, Dheiux <br />yes, DelPizzo yes, DiCarlo no. Motion <br />carried. <br /> <br />Councilman DiCarlo asked what was going <br />to be decided on the permanent Code <br />Enforcement Officer. Councilwoman <br />Scholl moved that the position of Code <br />Enforcement Officer be made permane~t <br />with Monty Heffner continuing as the <br />Officer. Seconded by Councilman <br />Domenico. Question was brought up as <br />to the carrying of a weapon. It was <br />stated that on September 27, 1974 Mr. <br />Heffner will be old enough to carry <br />a gun on duty. <br />Mrs. Forbis stated that Mr. Heffner <br />should familiarize himself with the <br />codes within the City. <br />Mr. Hershey stated that he felt that <br />when a party calls in a complaint and <br />request to be informed as to the pro- <br />gress of the matter they should be called <br />back on the matter out of courtesy to <br />them. <br />Roll call on motion after discussion. <br />Domenico yes, Scholl yes, Berry yes, <br />DiCarlo no, Dhieux yes, DelPizzo yes. <br />Motion carried. <br />
