CITY HALL REMODELING cont'd CODE ENFORCEMENT VAN CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER -4- discussion Councilwoman Dhieux moved that the City put out for bid in accordance with the recommendations from the City Engineer for remodeling of City Hall and not to exceed the amount of $16,000.00. Seconded by Councilman Berry. Roll call. Domenico yes, Berry yes, Scholl no, Dhieux yes, DelPizzo yes, DiCarlo yes. Motion carried. t~r. Wurl reported that the van situation was about the same. Attorney Morris stated that the leasing company will supply the City with a van of the same value if the City still wants it. Councilman Berry moved that the City Administrator be instructed to contact the leasing company to negotiate for a van of equal value. Seconded by Councilwoman Scholl. Roll call. Berry yes, Domenico yes, Scholl yes, Dheiux yes, DelPizzo yes, DiCarlo no. Motion carried. Councilman DiCarlo asked what was going to be decided on the permanent Code Enforcement Officer. Councilwoman Scholl moved that the position of Code Enforcement Officer be made permane~t with Monty Heffner continuing as the Officer. Seconded by Councilman Domenico. Question was brought up as to the carrying of a weapon. It was stated that on September 27, 1974 Mr. Heffner will be old enough to carry a gun on duty. Mrs. Forbis stated that Mr. Heffner should familiarize himself with the codes within the City. Mr. Hershey stated that he felt that when a party calls in a complaint and request to be informed as to the pro- gress of the matter they should be called back on the matter out of courtesy to them. Roll call on motion after discussion. Domenico yes, Scholl yes, Berry yes, DiCarlo no, Dhieux yes, DelPizzo yes. Motion carried.
