<br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />LOUISVILLE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />AUGUST 6, 1974 <br /> <br />Mayor Waschak called the special meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. with the <br />following members present: Domenico, Berry, Scholl, DelPizzo, and <br />DiCarlo. Others present: City Administrator Wurl and City Clerk <br />Santilli. Absent: City Attorney Morris, City Treasurer Hesson and <br />Councilwoman Dhieux. <br /> <br />AUDIT PRESENTATION <br /> <br />Hr. Charles Hauber of Alexander Grant Co. <br />presented the City audit for 1973. He <br />explained briefly how the audit was put <br />together. A session was scheduled for August <br />13, 1974 at 7:00 P.M. to discuss the audit <br />~"ith Mr. Hauber and Council. <br /> <br />TAP FEE INCREASE <br /> <br />r1r. Larry Bacon representing Wood Brothers <br />passed out pamphlets on the Wood Brothers <br />development in Louisville as compared with <br />similar developments by Wood Brothers. <br />He stated that Louisville tap fee would be <br />the highest that they have come across and <br />he felt that the development could not tolerate <br />them. <br /> <br />Councilman DelPizzo asked how the figures for <br />the increase were determined. Mr. Wurl stated <br />that the figures were drawn up by the engi- <br />neering staff and consulting staff. <br /> <br />~rr. George Holley representing Wood Brothers <br />stated that with the additional increase <br />i.n fees to the City it will be almost impossible <br />to stay on a competitive basis. <br /> <br />Councilman DelPizzo stated that he felt the <br />developers should be able to finish their <br />projects at the same fee that they were <br />c:harged at the beginning. Mr. Wurl stated <br />that homes have increased about $3,000.00 <br />a.nd if the City was going to keep the same <br />price on the taps the houses should be kept <br />a.t the same price. <br /> <br />Councilwoman Scholl stated that when the pro- <br />ject was first brought up Council was not happy <br />with the idea of multi-family dwellings, but <br />they decided to go along with them because <br />Council felt the project would be worthwhile. <br />She also stated that at the time of annexation <br />the developers were informed that there would <br />be an increase in tap fees. <br />
