HOUSING AUTHORITY PRESENTATION cont'd BEN CORDOVA YOUTH TASK FORCE COUNCIL ITEMS CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER Board needs enough people who can devote more time so the work load could be shared. Councilman Domenico stated that he would be willing to resign on approval of Council, however, he would still be present at the meetings but have no voting power. Councilman DiCarlo moved that an ad- journed meeting be scheduled for April 23, 1974, at 7:30 P.M. to disouss LHA. Seconded by Councilman Berry. Motion carried. Mr. Gans stated that LHA was working on getting ready to place 4 housing units on land at Roosevelt, Hutchinson, and LaFarge. The fund will be through FHA in the amount of 60 to 80 thousand dollars. The loan will go through LCDC, a legal agency. Mr. Ben Cordova presented Council with a brief outline and talk as to the purpose of the Task Force. He stated that it was started to help youth get a better start in life. Councilwoman Scholl asked if there would need to be a monetary committment from Louisville to deal with our communities problems. There were no committments made. Councilman DelPizzo asked for Councils approval to resign from LURA, as he felt that he could not devote enough time to really do a good job on the Board. Mayor Waschak accepted Councilman DelPizzos re- signation and asked Mr. Conarroe to pub- lish the vacancy in the paper. A question was brought up as to why the code enforcement officer must be the one to issue a summons when a code is broken. The matter will be reported on at the Police Commission meeting. Councilman DelPizzo stated that the gates at the Cemetery were not being closed at night. Councilman DelPizzo also questioned if anything had been done on the sidewalk and curb situation. Mr. Wurl stated that the matter was being worked on.
