<br />REGULAR MEETING <br /> <br />NEW FIRE HALL: <br /> <br />LOUISVILLE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />JULY 3, 1973 <br /> <br />Council requested an outline of what the Denartment <br />would like to have in the building. . <br />Councilman Donovan inquired as to why there was just <br />one bid. City Administrator Wurl explained this was <br />not a bid - it was requested in order to get more <br />information in the bid specs. Total of new addition <br />and original $102,924.00 <br />Councilwoman Scholl inquired of the Fire Department <br />i:f civic groups would be allowed to use the facilities j <br />could second story be used as a Cummunity meeting place? <br />Councilman Deborski remarked this would be a civic <br />building owned by the City. <br />Councilman Deborski moved to authorize City Administrator <br />Wurl to negotiate a conceptional design for the Fire <br />Hall within the confirms of the two figures proposed <br />in the lettE~r from Architectal Builders. Seconded by <br />Councilman Domenico. Roll call vote Deborski yes, <br />Jensen yes, Scholl yes, Donovan yes, Domenico yes. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />CITY ADMINISTRATORS South Boulder Road Schedule I - $71,731. <br />REPORT There is a 2" line on Hiway 42 and consequently the <br />users have no water pressure. With Council's permission <br />would like to speed up this phase of the project and <br />have authority to advertise once in the paper then <br />phone and get as many bids as possible by next meeting. <br />Councilman Deborski moved that Council authorize City <br />Administrator Wurl to advertise once in the paper and <br />call for bids on water improvements along Hiway 42, with <br />legal approval. Seconded by Councilman Jensen. All in <br />favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />RAW WATER USERS <br /> <br />STREET OVERLAYS <br /> <br />. Droblem <br />There lS a pressure/Ior Ene raw water users, when the <br />pipeline is running full, we take the pressure from these <br />users. To solve the problem would like to have Council's <br />approval to extend line from EPIC at a cost of $12,296.00. <br />Write a letter to the users explaining problem and request <br />by the City they get off the line within 30 or 60 days. <br />Councilman Deborski moved to advise the five raw water <br />users to accept our proposal of $12,296 to run filter <br />water line to them. Seconded by Councilman Jensen. <br />All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Estimated cost - $59,580.00 for Roosevelt, LaFarge, <br />Grant and Lincoln. This estimate does not include the <br />work to be done by LURA. Would like to call for bids <br />on resurfacing and shaping along with noting drainage. <br />Councilman Deborski stated he was very much against <br />this concept and moved not to accept City Administrator <br />Wurl's proposal on the overlays, but snd them back to <br />City Administrator to re-evaluate concern priorities <br />which he had previously discussed and which is the total <br />conceptual plan.
