<br />REGULAR J:1EETING <br /> <br />LOUISVILLE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />AUGUST 7, 1973 <br /> <br />B. <br /> <br />~TATER REPORT <br /> <br />C. <br /> <br />PARKING LOT <br /> <br />D. <br /> <br />CAPITAL I~~ROVE- <br />MENTS <br /> <br />E. <br /> <br />REPORT ON HOUSE <br />BILL 1529 <br /> <br />Council reviewed water report, number of acre <br />feet, gallons per day and number of taps, etc. <br />Meeting to be held August 14th to discuss water. <br /> <br />Mr. Wur1 and City EnEineer have developed some <br />preliminary plans as to what has been agreed upon <br />in the Central Business District plan - estimate <br />of $32,000.00 for the improvements. <br />Advertised for proposal on removal of various buildings. <br />Also discussed with business men some kind of parti- <br />cipation. <br />Capital Improvement program will be ready <br />Planning Commission review this Thursday. <br />in that is our recommendation relating to <br />If it meets with approval at the Planning <br />mission will talk to the business men for <br />from them. <br /> <br />for <br />Incorporated <br />the CBD. <br />Com- <br />some in-put <br /> <br />Too many different oplnlons on the bill. State geological people <br />have asked for money to do a specific study about <br />subsidence in the 150 square miles in Coal Creek <br />Basin. Mr. Wur1 recommended that we go on record <br />supporting the study. Unless the study is going to <br />provide us with factual information upon which we <br />can base decisions on the Master Plan and zoning - <br />could bE~ a ""as te of money. Mr. "vur1 thinks T,oJe <br />should support it. Councilman King moved that we <br />support the study. Seconded by Councilman Donovan. <br />All in favor. Motion carried. <br /> <br />F. EMPLOYEE INSURANCE Pacific Mutual awarded contract. <br />1. Increase our cost. <br />2. Never had a proper billing. <br />3. Cannot get any response to some claims. <br />Suggest we deal with a company that will provide the <br />service. Requested Wayne Varra to submit to us a <br />good propos a1 . Recommend that 'we increase some of it. <br />About 80% of the cities pay 100% insurance for the <br />employees. Recommend that we pay 100% of it. <br /> <br />Page - 3 - <br />
