Pat Finleon - six property documents associated with Pasqual and Christina <br />Jacovette <br />. J. Kelly McHugh - baseball glove used in Louisville by his father, Richard <br />McHugh <br />. Ray Smith - Smith photo album; photos and items relating to Ed Smith's <br />Grocery Store; other archival and household items relating to Louisville <br />. Emily Jasiak - historical photo of 1016 Main Street <br />. Debbie Vogelsberg - items relating to the James family, including historical <br />newspapers, business receipts, commencement programs, and historical <br />photos <br />C. Louisville Historian - Bridget Bacon gave an update on the next Louisville <br />Historian issues. The Summer issue will have a food theme with the lead article <br />by Harry Mayor. The Fall issue will have the theme of the history of Miners Field, <br />with articles by Sean Moynihan and Bridget. <br />D. It was noted that the Museum saw a high number of visitors in June, at 282. <br />E. Bridget Bacon said that in response to a request from the Colorado Historical <br />Society, she assembled a list of Italian surnames that historically appeared in <br />Louisville, and asked if Commission members had any additions. She also <br />asked if anyone knows of the location of the bell that was in the school building <br />that is now the Center for the Arts. Last, she brought to the attention of the <br />Commission that a book by Dick Kreck has been published about the Smaldone <br />crime family of Denver who engaged in activities in Louisville several decades <br />ago. <br /> <br />IX. Committee Reports: <br />A. Spring Historical Program: approximately 60 people attended the Historical <br />Program on Italians of Colorado at the Center for the Arts. <br />B. Volunteer Brunch: Sally Burlingame noted that there was very good feedback <br />from the attendees. <br />C. Taste of Louisville: It was reported that the Museum was very busy during its <br />Open House during A Taste of Louisville. 126 people visited that day. Bridget <br />Bacon noted that it was the first year in her experience that the Museum was <br />adequately staffed with volunteers to help all of the visitors. She thanked the <br />Commission members and other volunteers who gave their time. <br />D. Oral history Project: Dustin Sagrillo stated that the group has done two tapings <br />with Dave Ferguson and Bob Enrietto. Bridget Bacon noted that she and the <br />group will be having another meeting on Aug. 7 at 9:00 am to discuss more <br />interviews. She mentioned the costs associated with the interviewing: one DVD <br />copy for the interviewee, one DVD copy for the Museum, and one copy to go on <br />archival DVD (and to go on the City server).
