-DRAFT-

The available data allows for a comparison of summer vs. winter water demands for
residential use. The analysis of 2001-2006 data assumes that winter indoor
demands are representative of indoor uses year round. Indoor consumption
includes uses such as toiletflushing, clothes and dish washing, cooking, bathing etc.
In the summer, it is assumed that any use above the winter indoor demand is likely
consumed by so called outside uses, such as lawn irrigation, and car washing. The
analysis shows that between the months of April and October an average of 56
percent of the water is consumed by outdoor purposes, while the remaining forty-
four percent is consumed by indoor uses. Annually, an average of 43 percent of the
water is consumed for outdoor purposes and 57 percent for indoor uses. In the
case of commercial and industrial consumption, the uses vary widely as a function of
the type of business involved.

The City utilizes fully consumable water for its reuse system. The system provides
irrigation water to Coal Creek Golf Course, Community Park, City's Sports Complex,
Miner's Field, and Waste Water Treatment Plant. The golf course, Miner's Field,
and park were included in the system in 2004. Since 2004 the reuse system has
reclaimed an average of 295 AF annually.

Summary of Monthly Reuse Data - All Uses

.0,000

35,000

~.~

_25,OOC
!
~20,OOO
i
::>15,000

,

,

'.~

10.000

JAN.
