John Quinlan, 5540 Central Avenue, Suite 100, Boulder, Colorado was available to answer any
questions.

Davidson called for Council questions or comments.

Mayer asked Wood if this use would create add~tional visual impact from 96th Street.

Wood replied that he felt it would not.

Keany inquired whether the applicant understood that the Special Review Use would terminate if
there was a change in ownership.

Quinlan replied there are no plans to sell the business; therefore, he would not object to that.

Sisk asked if any vehicle maintenance would be done on-site.

Quinlan replied that it would not, as they have a contract with U-Haul that stipulates U-Haul will
transport all vehicles to their service center for all maintenance needs.

Lathrop stated that many franchisers pressure their agents to hang banners to attract attention and he
would be opposed to this practice. He expressed concern for the number of rental trucks and trailers
on-site and proposed a condition that all vehicles must be stored inside the fence and not on the street
or other right-of-ways.

t'athrop moved that Council approve Resolution No. 32, Series 1998 - Special Review Use for
Truck/Trailer Rentals - The InKeeper Subdivision - 1200 Lock Street with the following conditions:
that the use of temporary signs or banners is prohibited on the exterior walls and fences of the facility
and parking of rental trucks and trailers is restricted to the applicant's property inside the fence and
shall not appear on public streets or right-of-way, seconded by Mayer.

Sisk offered a friendly amendment to add a note that the Special Review Use is applicable to John
Quinlan, owner ofthe InKeeper, agreed to by Lathrop and Mayer.

Sisk offered a friendly amendment that the use of banners at this facility is prohibited, agreed to by
Lathrop and Mayer.

Roll call was taken. Motion passed by a 7-0 vote.

RESOLUTION No. 33, SERIES 1998 - AMENDMENT TO A FINAL PUD
DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR LOT 4A, CENTURY OFFICE PARK - SILICON
MOUNTAIN PROPERTIES

7
