Dellinger
indicated a steering committee could assist in developing the "product" as well as
establish procedures and policies to include public access and security and a
review process by City Council, City Manager, and the City Attorney. Other
communities with a GIS could be contacted regarding their procedures and
policies.
Council and staff agreed that the community needs to be notified of the fly -over.
US 36 FEIS
The process is moving forward with the Record of Decision (ROD)'for the
Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). The final EIS will be released for final
comments on October 30, 2009. There is a 45 day comment period, although
CDOT asked for a 30 day turn around. Communities, RTD, and federal agencies
have worked hard on addressing all issues. Most comments will focus on final
design. Open Space, Parks, Engineer, and Planning will all work on bikeways
and regional connections. One of the public hearings will be hosted in Louisville
on November 18, 2009 for public participation in the process.
The ROD will allow the City of Louisville to obtain federal funding. Communities
are coming together and are satisfied with the design supported by the FEIS.
Mayor Sisk and H. Balser have represented the City of Louisville during the
process. The Council expressed their appreciation for the hard work and
representation.
Legislative Agenda
The legislative meeting is scheduled for November 23 at 7:30 a.m. in the first
floor Library Meeting room.
