BRaD
Study Session Summary
August 3, 2009
believes there is plenty of parking currently, and the City should maintain the
square footage cap.
BRaD is done with this issue for now, and was happy to be able to work through
some of the sticky issues before it entered the formal public process.
FIBER NETWORK AT CTC
Andrew Freeman updated the Committee on his conversation with Level III.
They are doing engineering ad cost estimates regarding the provision of a “hub”
at CTC. Results are expected in 30-60 days. This could add appeal to the park
for heavy data users. BRaD asked that a staff member be involved in those
discussions. Level III may be interested in a possible future agenda presentation.
Mitchell Rogers, of Rocky Net participated in this discussion. BRaD members
want to make sure Level III thinks of extending fiber to the Revitalization Area as
well as to Downtown. We need to be careful not to offer a subsidy if it is not
necessary to accomplish our goals.Andrew will email BRaD regarding the CTC
Outreach meeting in Mid-October.
