Open Space Advisory Board
Minutes
October 14, 2009

AI Permit requested that the OSAB put this issue on the agenda for this night or
in the future in order that the OSAB form an opinion about the proposed site.

John Landow asked to clarify if indeed the final siren site will not be allowed to be
on Open Space. Chief Goodman replied that this was most likely correct.

Chief Goodman also indicated that many of the existing structures on Open
Space were present prior to Open Space designation and thus there is no
precedent for putting new structures on designated Open Space.

Spencer Guthrie indicated that other suggestions have been brought to the
OSAB to use Open Space for valuable purposes, like solar panels, but that those
suggestions have been turned down because they were determined to be
inappropriate use of designated Open Space.

Pete Clements asked if there was a resource to find land designations and
boundaries within the City. Tom Davinroy said that the designations can be
found in the City of Louisville Open Space Master Plan.

Trish Devlin asked how the final location decision will be made and she was
directed to City Council.

AI Permit thanked the OSAB for allowing this as a forum for the discussion.

Staff Updates - Ember Brignull
1.
